a stylish new development, centred around two old stone courtyards,
created, in 2009, by the Howard family of Naworth Castle.
Lanercost incorporates Mike Farley's acclaimed Tea Room and
Restaurant, a Farm and Gift Shop, a function room and six
magnificent self catering holiday cottages - all with en-suite
facilities - and finished and furnished to an exceptionally
high standard.

The converted barns of the original farm have retained their

Proud of Cumbria, they are passionate about promoting and
stocking the finest local Cumbrian products and produce in
the farm shop. They stock an ever growing range of jams, preserves,
cakes and sweets which currently include the following local
producers.

This newly opened gallery at Lanercost is being run by an
arts group, Pennine Artisans - an arts group consisting of
three Cumbrian Artists: Linda Watson – a sculptor, Tricia
Meynell – an arts photographer and Jenia Gorfunkel –
a glass artist.
